Over the past decade, Teun has worked towards developing the STS Making & Doing program, a space where the scholarship of transforming practices through techniques, devices, infrastructures, and selves takes centre stage. Teun’s goal as president of the association is to provide inclusive and sustainable spaces for scholars from Europe and beyond to gather.
“I hope to experiment with conference formats that reduce climate impact but continue to foster the wonderfully rich scholarship we have seen from the participants at this past summers’ EASST conference at the VU campus.”
About EASST
The field of Science & Technology Studies is somewhat nomadic, with scholars often working across disciplines. The European Science & Technology Association, brings together these nomadic academics and researchers to study the potential of science and technology in addressing complex problems.
