Just before summer, the VU campus became the global heart of conversations on science, technology and society through the EASST-4S conference 'Making and Doing Transformations'.
With over 3300 delegates, this was the largest scientific conference within this field of research (Science, Technology & Society), as well as the largest academic event that VU Amsterdam hosted to date.
The VU commitments to research that is connected to societal challenges and the lay out of the facilities, made our campus an ideal venue for the conference: the Athena Institute was proud to be able to host it.
