We invite applications for a PhD position in Executive Legislation in Migration Law (‘Bestuurswetgeving in het migratierecht’). This research project focuses on the legislative powers of the executive in Dutch migration law. You will compare this with the legislative competence of the administration in social assistance law, in Germany and in the past; and you will analyse how this relates to general constitutional and administrative law. The project is part of Lieneke Slingenberg’s VIDI project titled “Executive supremacy? Executive lawmaking in migration law”, funded by NWO and embedded in the Amsterdam Centre for Migration and Refugee Law (ACMRL). The position requires fluency in Dutch and English. You will be supervised by Prof Lieneke Slingenberg and Dr Lisanne Groen.
