As of today, the new Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities is officially established.
The board, consisting of Gregor Halff (Dean), Mira Maletic (Director of Operations), Welmoet Boender (Portfolio Holder for Education), and Jeroen de Ridder (Portfolio Holder for Research), is excited to lead the new faculty and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
Gregor Halff shares, ‘The Social Sciences and Humanities (SGW) have a unique mission to deepen our understanding of people, and our understanding in social communities, values, and meaning. No single discipline can achieve this alone, but what unites the SGW fields is an open mindset and a natural drive to find coherence and connection. Our new faculty will foster the right connections, enabling everyone within the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities to contribute effectively to this shared goal.’
