Our International Office supports international degree students in arranging accommodation for their first year of studies. If you're planning to join us in 2025–2026, now is the time to secure your housing! We still have a variety of options available across different price ranges, but availability is limited - so don’t miss out. Act soon to increase your chances of finding a room that suits your needs.
Who can apply?
You can only apply for accommodation from VU Amsterdam when you meet the following criteria:
- You are enrolled in an English-taught degree programme;
- You are a first year student;
- You have a non-Dutch nationality. Please note that when you have dual citizenship of the Netherlands and an EU/Non-EU country, you are not eligible for accommodation via us;
- You have to be admitted based on a foreign diploma;
- You are not living in the Netherlands.
How to apply
All students who have been (conditionally) accepted will receive an invitation to confirm their participation on VU.nl. Once you have confirmed your participation, you will be able to apply for accommodation on the VU-Dashboard. Please see here how to do so, or refer to our extensive Accommodation webpage.
