Positive assessment master Culture, Organization and Management

Share
9 March 2023
Students rate the master Culture, Organization and Management (COM) of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam above average. This can be read in the Keuzegids 2023, which was published on Thursday, March 9. In the Keuzegids, master's students annually rate their programmes on content, teachers, testing, career preparation and atmosphere.

The master COM scores above average on the components 'teachers' and 'content'. Programme director Frans Kamsteeg: "Great to see that our students appreciate that the lecturers are always critically engaged in renewing the content and form of their education. We try to listen carefully to our students, because there is always room for improvement! What has made the programme unique for over 30 years is that we teach students to observe what happens behind the scenes in organizations, backstage so to speak. Less the structures and management strategies, but more the ways of giving meaning, the emotions and the (power)games that make up the daily living world of organizations. You can only get to know this world by immersing yourself in it and by engaging all your senses. That is what our students do during their fieldwork for their master's thesis."

Keuzegids Masters
Each year, the Keuzegids Masters compares all accredited Master's programmes at Dutch universities. The assessments in the guide are compiled in part from student opinions and accreditation data using information from the National Student Survey and the National Alumni Survey. These assessments help enable prospective students to make an informed choice of about their Master's programme.
