As announced earlier, the (free) coffee cups will disappear as of 1 July 2023 on VU Campus. This means that from Monday 3 July, everyone has to use their own, reusable cup to get a hot beverage from the vending machines.
'Bring your own' will be the starting point. Disposable cups will only be available for a fee. With this, VU Amsterdam takes another step towards a sustainable campus. Every year, we use about 1.4 million disposable cups!
Do you want to use the coffee machines after 1 July? Bring your own cup or arrange with your colleauges to have sufficient cups at your department. For office spaces, FCO has arranged a small amount of cups and glasses to start with, most of them made of sugar cane and 100% recyclable.
