Dear students and employees,
During an international operation against the illegal online marketplace Genesis Market, it became known that approximately fifty thousand Dutch citizens have been infected by Genesis Market's malware.
Should you suspect to have been affected by the cyber attack, please check if any of your accounts were being traded on the marketplace via the police's 'check your hack' page.
If your email address appears then you will receive an email from the police at the email address entered within minutes. Check both your inbox and spam box to see if you have received an email. If the e-mail address does not appear, you will not receive an e-mail.
If you did receive an email, contact SOCC immediately via socc@vu.nl.
