This year’s symposium brings together anthropologists, alumni, students, and societal partners to reflect on the role of anthropology in a rapidly changing world. The afternoon opens with remarks by representatives of the Anthropology department. Next, we engage in conversation between anthropologists and stakeholders, exploring how anthropological knowledge travels beyond academia and contributes to society in meaningful ways. The symposium concludes with a collective discussion on the future of stakeholder research and public anthropology in a context of changing funding landscapes, institutional restructuring, and increasing pressures on socially engaged work. You are all invited to join us in this symposium and further discussions over drinks.
