Listening, Learning, Living: Insights from Transdisciplinary Research on Leprosy in Malaysia
Leprosy is a curable disease, yet many people continue to experience disability, stigma, social exclusion, and poverty long after treatment. While medical care is essential, it does not address many of the social and practical challenges that affect everyday life.
I investigated how bringing together individuals affected by leprosy with healthcare professionals, policymakers, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders can help develop more effective and person-centered solutions.
