This is the fourth event of the "What about Palestine" series, organised by Anthropology Students and Staff for Palestine, in which Annelies Moors (University of Amsterdam) will present her new book Doing Ethnography: Institutional Surveillance and the Struggle for Epistemic Diversity (2026).
She will, in particular, explore how her long-term immersive research in Palestine has impacted on the writing of this book and reflect on the entanglements of fieldwork and political engagement. What do recent developments in research management mean for the future of ethnographic practice? How can ethnography contribute to addressing global epistemic injustices?
