During this session you will get acquainted with connected breathing, a breathing technique in which the inhale and exhale flow into each other without a pause. This way of breathing can help release tension, calm the nervous system and increase body awareness. For some people it may also bring up emotions that usually receive less space.
The afternoon begins with an arrival meditation in which you can gently settle into your body and the space. After that there will be a short explanation of connected breathing. A certified breath coach will then guide the connected breath session itself.
After the breathing experience there will be time to lie down and allow the experience to integrate. We will close with a short sharing moment where participants can share what they experienced.
The session will take place on March 31 from 4:00 to 5:30 PM in a room next to the Mindful Library on the twelfth floor of the VU library.
The session is free and accessible for VU students (and possibly staff). You can sign up via the link at the top of this page.
