Tracking Visits to Your Website
Last updated on 1 October 2026

With Google Analytics, you can see how often your website is visited and which pages are the most popular. You can create your own reports to determine whether your website is resonating with your target audience.

Google Analytics is software from Google that you can use for free to track and analyze virtually all activity leading to, occurring on, and leaving your website. With Analytics, you can gain a clear picture of, among other things, visitor flows, traffic sources, and page views. For example, you can see where your visitors come from, how long they stay on a particular page, on which page they leave the website, and what links they click on.

With the VU.nl One-page dashboard, you can easily view your page’s data. If you need a more detailed dashboard, you can submit a request to the Powered by Data team at pbd.cm@vu.nl
