In addition to the necessity imposed by legislation and regulations, we have long wanted more insight into our (research) project portfolio at VU Amsterdam with regard to, for example, risks, financial possibilities and partnerships. Just think, for example, of the recent issue of whether the VU collaborates with institutions in Israel, or research projects in which we collaborate with companies in the fossil energy sector.
