Better supervision PhD's: adapted development paths/training

Last updated on 25 September 2024
Many scientists supervise PhD students on a daily basis, in addition to their research and teaching activities. The target group of PhD students is diverse (both employed by the VU and externally funded) and each PhD student requires its own supervision strategy. Supervising PhD students requires specific attention: high time, therefore, for good basic training for every PhD supervisor. The new, mandatory training 'Supervising PhD students' pays attention to the subject of scientific integrity and the development of soft skills for good supervision in the PhD trajectory.
