OnStage

Last updated on 14 April 2025
OnStage is the application at the VU to support graduation projects, such as a thesis or internship, and helps to closely monitor the progress of students. The system is linked to VU systems so that necessary information is automatically available and administrative actions are limited.

OnStage supports the following stages of the graduation project:

  1. Selection of a subject by the student or assigning subjects and supervisors to students.
  2. Supervising the student's progress, giving feedback on draft versions, and share the final assessment with the student.
  3. Independent assessment of the graduation project by two or more assessors with automated plagiarism detection.
  4. Archiving the graduation project, assessment forms, and other relevant documents for accreditation and quality control.

It helps coordinators of graduation projects to have an overview of the process, to link students to supervisors, to automatically send messages after an action or date, to see who is responsible for the next step, and where the feedback or assessment is saved.

Supervisors have a good overview of the students they supervise, including the relevant documents used in the process, such as assessment forms.
