BETA Policy Team

The BETA policy team supports the faculty board, departments and educational programmes. Together, we constantly strive to maintain and improve the quality of our education, research, valorisation and operational activities.

We signal new and existing challenges and risks and welcome practical questions and requests. Additionally, we play a coordinating role in collaborations within and outside the faculty. We value and stimulate accessibility and transparency. Our policy documents can be found on Faculty of Science.

The policy team consists of 3 domains, working directly under the head of Academic Affairs:

Education and quality assurance
The domain Education and quality assurance is eager to assist in matters related to:
- Accreditations and midterm reviews
- Exams and assessments (faculty exam policy, assessment plans, TER)
- Programme questions (minor policy, honours policy, internships and career, study advice programmes)
- Developments in education portfolio (curriculum redesign, capacity controls, analysis of education data)
- Awards and grants
- Evaluations (NSE, NAE, evaluation policy, curriculum evaluations)
- Annual reports (for programmes, exam boards and programme committees)
