In a number of VU buildings, keys and cylinders are still used instead of VU cards. Faculties and services housed in these buildings have their own key plan and can order locks and keys within this key plan.
Please allow for a delivery time of 10 days for keys and 6 weeks for cylinders. Costs will be passed on. If necessary, we will provide temporary (emergency) solutions.
Apply for locks or keys?
- Are you an employee and in possession of a VUnet ID? Then use the 'take action now' button on this page (only by authorised employees).
- Don't have a VUnet ID? Then request locks or keys via the external Service portal.
Granting access with a pass
VU Amsterdam is using pass readers for access passes ('salto locks') instead of physical cylinders/keys. Only with the correct authorisation on someone's staff pass, the door unlocks. Want to have a salto lock installed? Use the 'take action now' button on this page. Report your request in the "Brief Description" text field at the bottom of the form.
