Poster spaces and boards

Do you have a message you wish to share using posters and would you like to know where you can hang them?

VU Amsterdam has a range of poster boards and other free hanging spaces available. The posters / communication must however comply with certain conditions. The available locations are listed below.

Location poster boards:

  • Main Building
    0A entrance: near group of four lifts in the direction of Student Services Desk opposite the Newsroom
    0C, 2A00, 4A00b, 6A00, 10A00, 12A00, 14A00
    Basement: opposite the Security department
  • Mathematics and Physics building (W&N)
    M-008 (west side), in the direction of the G corridor
    N0a corridor (at exit 1083a) / Tim’s corner

Request publication

Are you interested? Submit your request to servicedesk.fco@vu.nl. They will assess any publication based on the existing conditions. If approved, the posters will be given a stamp with an end date. Posters that have not been stamped will be removed.

Conditions

The conditions for the use of the public poster boards and the other hanging areas are:

  • the message is related to the university’s professional practice and does not serve a commercial purpose
  • the announcement is not political in nature and does not mainly consist of advertising
  • the texts and/or images are ethically responsible and not discriminatory
  • the subject does not violate VU Amsterdam’s principles
  • the applicant complies with VU Amsterdam’s house rules
  • a maximum of 1 poster per board

Free hanging spaces

For the free hanging spaces, the conditions regarding non-discriminatory and ethically responsible communications also apply. These poster spaces are cleared out every last Friday of the month.

  • W&N building - M0 foyer: 2 free hanging spaces
  • MF building - basement AK-00: 1 free hanging space
  • Transitorium - space 0B-01: 1 free hanging space
