Within the Faculty of Science, various committees and officers work on good governance, support and quality assurance of education, research and operations. They play an important role in the day-to-day running of the faculty.
From co-determination to ethical review and from IT policy to PhD supervision, below is an overview of the committees within the faculty.
- Safety and Environment Committee - Advice and policy around a safe and sustainable working environment.
- Library Committee - Sounding board for the use and development of library services.
- Beta Subcommittee (co-determination) - Co-determination on behalf of staff and students within the faculty.
- BETHCIE - BETA ethical review committee (English - Ethical review committee for research within the sciences.
- IT committee - Advises on IT policy, digitisation and support for teaching and research.
- Educational roles, (Educational roles) - Information on faculty teaching roles such as examiners and coordinators.
- ERC mentoring panel - Guiding researchers on applications for ERC grants.
- PhD coordinators - Point of contact for everything around PhD programmes within the departments.
- PhD candidate advisors - Confidential advisors and supporters for PhD candidates.
- BETA RDM coordinators - Support for Research Data Management (RDM) within the faculty.
- FGOV Language policy (2021) (English) - Language policy within the faculty as established in 2021.
