In four interactive sessions, you’ll develop a shared vision and translate it into concrete decisions regarding the curriculum, assessment, and instruction. In this way, you’ll work together to build a program that optimally prepares students for a future in which AI plays a lasting role.
- Block 1 (2 hours): Where are we headed?
What does AI mean for your discipline and the future professional field? Which learning outcomes remain valid, which ones require revision, and which new competencies deserve a place in the curriculum? How can students develop AI literacy so they can use AI critically, responsibly, and effectively? And how do you personally view the opportunities, risks, and ethical issues that AI brings with it? - Session 2 (2 hours): What does this mean for our instructional design? – focus on assessment and learning objectives
How do you assess student learning in the age of GenAI? Which forms of assessment align with your learning objectives, and how can AI be responsibly incorporated into assessment design? - Session 3 (2 hours): What does this mean for our instructional design? – focus on the delivery of instruction
How is AI changing student learning, and what does that mean for your teaching? How can you use AI in a targeted way—for example, for feedback, guidance, practice, and grading—without losing sight of the quality of learning or the human touch? - Session 4 (2 hours): How are we going to do this?
What does your team need to do now, and what concrete steps will you take in the (re)design of AI-aware education? Who will take on which tasks, and what agreements will you make with one another?
These four content blocks can be scheduled flexibly, for example, as two half-days with two blocks each or as four separate sessions spread over several weeks. The dates will be determined in consultation with the trainers. Preparation is required for each block (an average of 1–2 hours per block).
