Investment masterclass in Geopolitics

The Masterclass consists of five sessions delivered across two days. Each is designed to address critical areas of private investing with clear learning goals and fresh perspectives:
  1. Mapping the Geopolitical Landscape for Investors
    • Topics: Global power shifts; multipolar order; regional hotspots; sanctions; resource nationalism.
    • Learning goals: Understand macro-geopolitical shifts, identify key risks for portfolios, analyze historical case studies.
  2. Geopolitics Meets ESG: Redefining Sustainability in a Fragmented World
    • Topics: Energy security vs. climate goals; critical raw materials; ESG conflicts across jurisdictions; stakeholder pressures.
    • Learning goals: Understand ESG challenges in fractured systems, assess implications for sustainable strategies, review case studies of ESG dilemmas.
  3. New Approaches to Risk Management and Portfolio Construction
    • Topics: Systematic integration of geopolitical risk; stress testing; hedging strategies; dynamic asset allocation.
    • Learning goals: Build resilient risk frameworks, design portfolios robust to shocks, apply innovative scenario approaches.
  4. Geopolitical Opportunities: Where Risks Create Rewards
    • Topics: Investing in energy transitions, frontier markets, reshoring infrastructure, green tech competition.
    • Learning goals: Identify opportunities in disruption, analyze country/sector case studies, evaluate responsible opportunity capture.
  5. Ethics and Fiduciary Dilemmas in a Geopolitical World
    • Topics: Investing in high-risk regions; supply-chain risks; fiduciary vs. ethical trade-offs; regulatory developments.
    • Learning goals: Recognize and manage ethical dilemmas, balance fiduciary duty with societal expectations, understand new disclosure regimes.
