Long term impact – the role of behavioral and sound decision making

"Creating meaningful long-term impact – the role of different behavioral and decision-making choices in board rooms"

On a board room level, how do you modify behavior, or remove barriers in decision-making and implementation for impactful long-term choice? We are developing case studies and aiming to collaborate with organizations that want to make a meaningful step in (long-term) investing or financing, and in terms of organizational culture are open to learning from each other.

In a longer-term process, we not only analyze the actual choices made, but reflect on them, and their outcomes, over a longer period of time. Doing so, we gather information about behavior, considerations in sustainability and barriers encountered. Based on, for example, waves of survey results, we can provide organizations with feedback on the effectiveness of behaviors and choices, but also do comparative research on what can learned from other financial institutions. Engaging with organizations and institutions in this manner will add depth to our educational programs. Not the well-known and perhaps even grazed case studies will be the focus, but real developments and real live dilemmas that participants and decision makers experience in their practice.

Get in touch with our scholars to discuss opportunities for collaboration by contacting them directly or write us at c.g.koedijk@vu.nl.
