Co-creating an Inclusive Student Association

February 13th 20023 — April 28th 20023

The VU is becoming more and more internationalized each day, and so are the students who attend the university. With this challenge we aimed to co-create a better study association – one that is more accessible, inclusive, and better tailored to the VU community while keeping the values of development, professionalism, and sociality.

Our education and its students are increasingly becoming more international. The Mission of Aureus is to support students in their need of development during their studies, in preparation for the next step after  SBE, whether this development is focused on a social, academic, career, or skills aspect. However, a substantial number of students were not involved in the things Aureus offer.

The challenge became to involve students from all walk of life, to create a better study association – one that is even more accessible adn inclusive - while keeping the values of development, professionalism, and sociality in our vision. During the 9-week challenge, we gathered 30 ideas, 41 votes, and 176 comments on the Impact Lab Platform.

Challenge Winners

  • The top Idea Award Sofia Franco de Morais won the Top Idea Award for her ‘Aureus & 3D collaboration‘ idea. Sofia proposed a partnership with 3D — which has experience in reaching out to both local and international students — to organize engaging social events that cater to a wide range of interests. Together, they can connect with Aureus members in a holistic way, impacting every aspect of their lives as SBE students.
  • The Top Collaborator Award: Enis Ozsoy was awarded the Top Collaborator Award in recognition of his remarkable commitment in helping the community to develop their ideas on the platform.
