Empiricism and Normativism in Delinquent Behaviour

Empirie en Norm bij Delinquent Gedrag en Strafrechtelijke Handhaving

Empiricism and Normativism in Delinquent Behaviour and Penal Enforcement forms the common research program for the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology.

This is the basis of collaboration between our researchers. This program combines research with legal-normative and criminology-empirical aspects. There are four research lines in this program:

  • Decision-making in the criminal justice system;
  • Life-cycle and criminal careers;
  • Criminality in organized context;
  • International crimes.
