Multidisciplinary guideline for children with overweight and obesity

Multidisciplinary guideline for children with overweight and obesity

Many factors play a role for children with overweight and obesity. When providing care and assistance toward a healthy weight, it is therefore important to consider the context in which a child grows up. This makes collaboration with other professionals involved necessary for an effective approach. Thus, professionals from the medical and social domain, parents and children, and other stakeholders can work together on (poverty) stress, family patterns, healthy learning to eat, exercise, and other factors that promote a healthy lifestyle for children and their families. The Guideline on Overweight and Obesity in Adults and Children is an initiative of Care for Obesity and Partnership Overweight Netherlands (PON). Please be advised that most of the content is in Dutch, unless stated otherwise.
