The ASI Scientific Advisory Board connects ASI with VU faculties, acting as ambassadors, sharing expertise and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across the university.
Together, we build bridges among VU researchers and with the wider stakeholder community to increase our scientific and societal impact. Our motto is: “Integrating knowledge for a sustainable future”.
The ASI Scientific Advisory Board plays an important role in this mission. Its members act as ambassadors for ASI within their faculties, strengthening connections, fostering collaboration and bringing forward new ideas and perspectives.
As a VU-wide network of committed colleagues, board members contribute their expertise and advice when needed, exchange knowledge and explore opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration. They also gain insights into strategic developments at VU and across faculties, while experiencing a dynamic network of researchers working towards shared sustainability goals.
Members are appointed for a three-year term (until 2029) and meet twice a year to exchange perspectives, share suggestions and strengthen connections across the VU community.
