Are you looking for an overarching tool to use for research data management? If so, Yoda (Your Data) might be the appropriate tool for you. Yoda is a SURF application that supports research data management during all phases of a research project. It offers you one solution for storage, sharing, archiving and publishing.

Yoda eliminates the need for multiple software tools, as it doesn’t only guarantee secure storage, it also facilitates collaboration between you and other researchers.

Get access to Yoda
YODA is available for every VU researcher. If you would like to store data for your research project in Yoda, please use the request form. A new data folder will be created for your project. Subsequently, you can invite your colleagues. You can access Yoda in two ways: through a network drive in your file manager or client software, and through the website portal

In line with FAIR data principles
Yoda has an additional benefit: it adheres to internationally accepted FAIR data principles. These principles are increasingly mandatory for both institutions and funding organizations. Yoda complies with FAIR standards by making data Findable and Accessible through enabling data discovery and sharing. In addition, data is made Interoperable and Reusable by facilitating and enforcing the creation and use of metadata.
