Hoe gaan we uiteindelijk ten onder aan plastic?
Dat de oceaan vol ligt met plastic troep is inmiddels een bekend probleem. Gelukkig hebben we dan ook het grote Ocean Cleanup project dat dit allemaal gaat oplossen. Toch moeten we volgens Heather Leslie (Vrije Universiteit) niet te vroeg juichen. Het probleem is namelijk veel groter en niet opgelost door een verbod op plastic rietjes. Er moet meer veranderen, anders zou dit wel eens kunnen leiden tot een serieuze volksgezondheidscrisis.
