Sustainability is an integral part of education and research, management and housing. From the theme Science for Sustainability, teachers, researchers and students look for integrated solutions for sustainability issues.
The VU Campus will be completely natural gas-free in 2035, in combination with 100% sustainably generated energy. Together with other parties in Zuidas, we encourage everyone to travel to and from Zuidas in a sustainable way, by bicycle or public transport. Beside that, VU Amsterdam and 24 other companies on Zuidas participate in 'Zero Waste Zuidas in 2030'. The goal: a circular Zuidas where every residual product is the beginning of something new. Food, raw material, reusable material and ultimately energy.
