VU Amsterdam recently became coordinator of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network Netherlands (UNSDSN), giving it a prominent role as a connector and booster of sustainable development within the Netherlands.
The celebration of 750 years of Amsterdam is the perfect occasion to officially launch this network on 12 June and bring its goals and possible solutions to the attention of a wide audience - inside and outside VU. How can we contribute to a sustainable future, for the city of Amsterdam and its inhabitants, and beyond?
In the Summit for Future Generations, speakers such as Jeffrey Sachs, Aniek Moonen, Jan Rotmans, Bernice Notenboom, Marc Dullaert and many other experts share their insights on various topics: climate transition, the future of young people, and international cooperation for peace and security.
