Silence room

VU Amsterdam’s silence room (multifaith space, HG 1A-53) can be used for spiritual and philosophical activities.

This includes religious celebrations, meditative gatherings, moments of quiet contemplation and in-depth reflection. The multifaith space is open to all VU students and staff. This room is a general space that can be used for different philosophical purposes and from different traditions.

As a rule, Islamic prayer meetings do not take place in this space, as there is a separate room for this.

The multifaith room is managed by NEWConnective, the interfaith platform of VU Amsterdam. NEWConnective regularly organizes reflection, meditation or inspiration moments for students and staff in the multifaith room.

For more information check NEWConnective on Instagram or via their website.
