In our research, we try to explore, understand, and explain life-course inequality in a dynamic economic, policy and institutional environment. In addition, we study a broad range of topics - (precarious) employment, education, cultural participation, gender role ideology and political attitudes in historically and cross-national comparative perspective. To achieve this, we also develop advanced statistical methods that allow us to understand life-course processes and how they interact with individual, organizational, and institutional contexts. The group specializes in the analysis of large-scale datasets from various sources (survey, register and Big Data) and is also active in the collection and harmonization of such data.
