Hillie Aaldering. Training at Schouten University of Applied Sciences on decision making, conflict settlement and negotiation, Training to governmental legal professionals on decision-making and cooperation and Masterclasses on positive psychology at University of Amsterdam.

Jasper Muis Conducted mixed-methods research projects on social cohesion in Dutch neighbourhoods, which was commissioned and funded by the neighbourhood app Nextdoor. It addresses the potential role of online fora and apps in fostering cohesion and improving communities.

Jasper Muis Initiated and supervised a research collaboration with the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR) for a research project on Dutch anti-vaccination groups on Telegram. During this project, students in Sociology coded and analyzed social media data for their Master’s thesis projects.

Jasper Muis Methodological advice and help with study design and data collection (street surveys) for the watch-dog organization Controle Alt Delete, for a research project on ethnic profiling and trust in the police among the Amsterdam public.

Jasper Muis Led the social media analysis for a cross-national research on cumulative (online) radicalization between radical right and radical Islamic actors. This study was commissioned by the Research and Documentation Centre (WODC) of the Dutch Ministry Of Justice and Security.

Wolfgang Wagner, Expert hearing in the Dutch Parliament The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Dutch Parliament (‘Tweede Kamer’) invited me to an expert hearings on the strategic autonomy of the European Union on 10 November 2021 and on sanctions on 27 January 2022. The hearings followed up on papers I had written together with Paul van Hooft of The Hague Center of Strategic Studies and with Michal Onderco (Erasmus University Rotterdam). The papers can be found here (strategic autonomy) and here (sanctions) (both in Dutch).

Wolfgang Wagner, Written Evidence for the UK House of Lords The European Union Committee/International Agreements Sub-Committee of the British House of Lords had launched in inquiry into how Parliament scrutinises treaties in spring 2020. Together with Julie Kaarbo, Benjamin Martill and Falk Ostermann, I submitted a policy paper.

Wolfgang Wagner, Dutch Advisory Council on International Affairs In 2o15, the Dutch Ministry of Defense asked the Advisory Council on International Affairs (AIV) for advice on the question whether integrated military structures (such as European Union Battlegroups) would require a reform of the decision-making procedures that are in place for military deployments. The AIV invited me first for a hearing and then for a presentation of their report to the policy-making community.
