Jennifer Tee, Atom Series, 2016

The Atom Series takes inspiration from a homonymous series of drawings by Hilma Af Klint from 1917 in which Af Klint explored the physical and metaphysical properties of atoms, being invisible to human eyes, yet still constituting the cosmos.

For this artwork, Tee combines Af Klint’s reflections on duality principles with the language of diagrams in the Taoist philosophy, uniting abstraction with philosophical concepts and belief systems
