Impact of VUfonds

Impactful research and teaching

Thanks to the support of our donors, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam is able to advance research and education that contribute to a better world. From improving access to education through Better Prepared to finding solutions to the nitrogen crisis with the fungi developed by MycoFarming, donors have made a difference in all of these projects.

Currently, VUfonds enables research that helps prevent chronic diseases. Together with our donors, we increase knowledge about the gut microbiome and work to improve gut health. The insights from this research are translated into practical dietary choices, ensuring that science directly contributes to a healthier society.

Your donation makes a difference. With your support, VU can remain a place where knowledge grows, talent develops and scientists can work in freedom.
