SBE hosts many health economics experts; HERA is the platform that brings them together for discussion, research collaboration and innovations in education. Researchers affiliated with HERA have expertise in public and global health economics, health economics of the Dutch care system, the management of healthcare organizations, and behavioural health economics. These five disciplines, organized in clusters, share a strong focus on the design, implementation and evaluation of health policies. We provide guidance on the global challenges that confront our health system, such as pandemics, climate change, obesity and aging. At bi-monthly lunch seminars, the HERA fellows and invited speakers present their research. To reach out to the wider community, HERA co-organizes conferences for health practitioners and researchers.
