How do we organise healthcare in the Netherlands? With more and more people, how do we distribute the limited available care as sustainably and equally as possible? What do we do to prevent illness? And to promote healthy living and well-being? How can we offer everyone the care that is needed?
Our healthcare system has been under pressure for years. Too much red tape, a shortage of care staff and growing ageing concerns: these are common issues when talking about health care. How can we collectively find solutions to these problems? At VU Amsterdam, we think it's important that (health) care has a place in the research we do, so we can contribute to policy-making, for example. After all, caring is something you do with and for each other.
