This theme focuses on (1) development of knowledge about the structure and functioning of ecosystems in relation to human health and (2) case studies that provide system knowledge and for which appropriate policies can be formulated
For example, in disease outbreaks following natural disasters, exposure to (emerging) contaminants such as antibiotics, micro-plastics, and endocrine disruptors.
