In recent years, global average temperatures have been steadily rising, extreme weather conditions heightening, ecosystems declining, and more. We must take the responsibility, while adapting to the effects of climate change and preparing for the future. Fortunately, we are capable of facing the ongoing climate crisis and curbing its effects. This year's Sustainability Day centers around the theme of "Be the Change," where we would like to show positive examples of change.

Shop for vintage clothes for your fall/winter wardrobe, see the future in VR or make your own flower bomb to create a bed of flowers, giving nature a helping hand. Join us in the VU Main Building from 11:00 - 14:00. Everyone is welcome!
SUSTAINABILITY TALKS: HOW DO YOU GENERATE CHANGE? (including vegan dinner!)
There are countless great examples of people contributing to a better world. At VU and beyond, scientists, students, and citizens are committed to making the world a better place. Sustainability Office VU, Amsterdam Sustainability Institute and Young Green Business Club Zuidas invite some of such changemakers to speak during the 2024 Sustainability Day about their journey of contributing to a better world. The keynote speech will be delivered by Faiza Oulahsen (KPMG), followed by an interdisciplinary dialogue for effective changemaking.
