Advocacy organizations

There are various interest groups for students: SRVU Student Union, ISO Dutch National Students Association and LSVb National Student Union.

SRVU STUDENT UNION

The SRVU Student Union has been the student union of the VU since 1947. The SRVU represents all students and stands up for their interests. In addition, ensuring the development of the VU and self-development of students are very important missions for the SRVU. Website: www.srvu.org.

NATIONAL INTEREST ORGANIZATIONS

ISO Dutch National Students Association
ISO is the largest national student organization in the Netherlands and represents the general interests of more than 200,000 students at universities. ISO is affiliated with 24 member organizations and 5 covenant partners, who together represent students. ISO is a permanent discussion partner of, among others, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, political parties and the umbrella organizations of universities and higher education.

LSVb National Student Union
The LSVb is the advocacy organization for all students in the Netherlands. LSVb tries to improve the position of the student by influencing policy.
Every student who wants to mean something for his or her study programme, faculty, institution or city can contact the LSVb. The organization offers support to student organizations that, for example, want to set up a trade union or interest group, or need organisational tips and more.
