17 Sustainable Development Goals

A blueprint for a better and more sustainable future for people and planet by 2030.

In 2015, the 193 member states of the United Nations set out a development agenda for 2030. This agenda identifies 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) aimed at making the world a better place. The goals serve as a global compass, helping us to address challenges linked to poverty, education and the climate crisis.

To achieve these goals, myriad organisations are working together at all levels. They recognise that eradicating poverty and solving other problems must go hand in hand with strategies to improve health and education, reduce inequality and stimulate economic growth. At the same time, they are tackling climate change as well as protecting our oceans and forests.

Read about the goals on the United Nations' website and discover in the exhibition how each project contributes to one or more SDG's.
