More about Knowledge Hub for Global Business Development

More information about the Knowledge Hub for Global Business Development

We have had three Globalization Days:

29 November 2024

Twenty years ago, Rugman & Verbeke published their influential paper “A perspective on regional and global strategies of MNEs” in JIBS.

Since then, patterns of globalization and regionalization have witnessed significant shifts, challenging some established knowledge and lingering some uncertainties. Join us at ESCP Business School in Paris, where we'll explore these shifts and unravel their potential impact on strategizing for the future.

Organizers:
ESCP Business School: Régis Coeurderoy, Stefan Schmid and Marc Oberhauser & VU Amsterdam - Knowledge Hub for Global Business Development: Sebastian Baldermann, Ira Chatterjee, Valérie Duplat, Saeed Khanagha, Oli Mihalache, and Angelo Solarino.

On November 28, 2024, at ESCP Business School in Paris, Jean-Francois Hennart will facilitate a workshop for PhD students on impactful research in IB: For more information please click here.

8 December 2023

In recent years, the rhythm of global integration and multilateralism has experienced a noticeable slowdown, giving rise to new patterns of regionalization and 'slowbalization'.

As businesses stand at the crossroads of these shifting dynamics, understanding their implications becomes vital in strategizing for the future. Join us at the VU Knowledge Hub for Global Business Development (Dr. Sebastian Baldermann, Dr. Ira Chatterjee, Dr. Valérie Duplat, Dr. Alexander Gorgijevski, Dr. Saeed Khanagha and Dr. Oli Mihalache) as we delve deeper into these transitions and unravel their potential impact on global business activities.

The workshop will take place on December 8th at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. It will feature keynotes and panels by renowned International Business scholars, as well as opportunities for early-career researchers and PhD students to present ongoing research projects.

Are you interested in discussing the ongoing shifts in globalization, encompassing economic, political, social, ecological, and cultural dimensions? Join us for a riveting day that explores the intricate business implications of these global transitions. Mark your calendar for December 8th, VU Amsterdam. Please register your participation via email by November 20th to v.duplat@vu.nl.
