Learning to work with referencing software
This workshop teaches you to collect, organize and export references to Word using different referencing software. The workshops allows you to work with EndNote, Mendeley or Zotero and focuses on the use of LibSearch, the discovery environment of the University Library.
Research Data Management Essentials
In this course, you learn the basics of how you can take care of your research data. We will address aspects like storage, archiving, publishing, documentation and how to keep your data secure. The course is aimed at PhD students at the beginning of their research project (± 1st year) and is offered several times throughout the year. There is one version for the faculties ACTA, BETA and FGB and another version for the faculties FSH and RCH.
Data Conversations
VU Data Conversations are intended for VU Amsterdam researchers, students, support and management staff, data stewards and data specialists. The goal of these meetings is to create a space for knowledge sharing between different faculties and disciplines. The topics discussed include research transparency, reproducibility, open methods and open data.

In the LibGuide you find online course materials on information literacy as well as specific courses on several disciplines. These courses can be used for self study and can also be integrated in course design.
