The Assendelft collection consists of approximately 160 works in the field of theology, mostly from the 16th-18th centuries. VU has had this collection on loan from the parish of Saint Odulphus in Assendelft since 1995. Striking features of this library are the large and at the time expensive standard editions such as the Magna Bibliotheca Veterum Patrum (1654) in nine folio volumes and Augustine's Opera Omnia (1664) in seven folios.
The books from the Assendelft collection can be found in Libsearch.
