Student Administration

Student Administration

Student Administration is a department of Student & Educational Affairs (SOZ) that helps students with their enrolment and study related questions.

The Student Administration department ensures that:

  1. students are enrolled and can therefore take part in the educational programme.
  2. students receive a Bachelor's or Master's degree when they have successfully completed the study programme.
  3. all enrolments, de-registrations and diplomas are registered with DUO.
  4. as a result of this, VU Amsterdam receives government funding.
  5. students can go to the Student Desk with questions about enrolment, tuition fees, registering for courses, BSAs and appointments with student counsellors or academic advisors. Extensive referrals to the right department are an important part of the service.

What does Student and Educational Affairs (SOZ) do?

The department ensures that VU Amsterdam runs like a well-oiled machine and that VU students have a good time studying. SOZ operates both openly and behind the scenes to ensure that studying at univeristy is both a carefree and unforgettable experience for our students.
