The Student Administration department ensures that:
- students are enrolled and can therefore take part in the educational programme.
- students receive a Bachelor's or Master's degree when they have successfully completed the study programme.
- all enrolments, de-registrations and diplomas are registered with DUO.
- as a result of this, VU Amsterdam receives government funding.
- students can go to the Student Desk with questions about enrolment, tuition fees, registering for courses, BSAs and appointments with student counsellors or academic advisors. Extensive referrals to the right department are an important part of the service.
