Vision
In the rapidly changing world of information technology, it’s the job of the IT department to facilitate the students, researchers and employees of the university wherever possible. Raising the bar in terms of societal relevance, safeguarding academic values and prominently positioning VU Amsterdam in the wider world is central to what we do.
Mission
The IT department’s mission is to deploy customer-focused, skilled and flexible staff to build an innovative, digitally secure and green campus. Through professional commissioning and contracting, we develop, manage and deliver IT products and services for the optimal support of education, research, healthcare and business operations. This enables us to work together effectively with our target groups, sharing knowledge and connecting internal and external environments.
