Yousef Ghiami is Assistant Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Operations Analytics at the School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Since 2023, he has also served as Coordinator of the International Business Administration (IBA) programme, where he contributes to curriculum coordination, accreditation activities, and educational quality assurance. He obtained his PhD in Operations Research from Southampton Business School, University of Southampton (United Kingdom) in 2014. Prior to joining Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2016, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology and the Dutch Institute for Advanced Logistics (Dinalog). His research focuses on inventory management, supply chain optimisation, logistics, and operations research, with applications in retail, transportation, sustainability, and production systems.
