Yasamin Nazari is a tenured Assistant Professor in the Theoretical Computer Science group at VU Amsterdam. She also has a partial affiliation with the CWI Network and Optimization group.
Yasamin is broadly interested in algorithms and theoretical computer science, with an emphasis on graph algorithms in various computational settings (dynamic, distributed, etc). She studies graph theoretical structures that can be used to improve running time or memory of solving fundamental computational tasks. She is also interested in approximation and online algorithms, and the interplay of these topics.
