Wout Dullaert is Full Professor Supply Chain Logistics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam where he heads the Department of Operations Analytics. He obtained his PhD in 2002 at the University of Antwerp and was an assistant/associate Professor of Operations and Logistics management at the same university for 10 years before coming to Amsterdam.
Dullaert's research interests are the redesign of production and distribution systems, tactical and operational distribution problems and cooperation and sustainability strategies in logistics. His research focuses on improving how goods, services, and information flow through complex distribution networks. His work lies at the intersection of operations research and logistics, with the aim of making supply chains more efficient, responsive, and sustainable.
